I was thinking today at what an amazing friend hacim is. It’s been 6 months now, and I cannot even begin to believe that he flew in for the weekend of my engagement. What a great friend he is. Then people like Aaron and Brian who I thought would be my lifelong friends might not even be at my wedding. Unbelievable. Either way, it’s my parade and no one being there, or not being there is going to rain on it.
Hacim and I have been through a lot. We’ve always had a love/hate relationship until he moved back to TX (again). What can I say though? I love the guy. I would do anything for him. I remember reading on his computer the conversation between his dad and him and reading that I was his best friend. I was so touched to feel that through everything we’ve been through, what an asshole i was to him for 3 years, how much we were at each other’s throats, through thick and thin I will have Micah Chasteen standing up there as one of my best men on my wedding day.
